TurboTax License Code – What it is ?

If you’ve purchased a TurboTax product, either online (turbotax.ca/download) or through one of our retail partners, then a licence code should have been provided with purchase. This code is now 16 digits (for product years 2020 and beyond), as opposed to the previous 21-digit codes from prior years. Simply follow the instructions above to enter your licence code and register your software.
For products purchased online, an email will be sent to you containing your 16-digit licence code once you’ve completed your purchase.

Steps to Install TurboTax.ca/download

In case you have purchased the TurboTax CD/DVD, you can insert the disc into the optical drive of your computer and start installing the software. Here’s the series of steps to install TurboTax on your computer using a CD/DVD:

  1. Close all programs that are running in your system. Then bring out the TurboTax CD and put it into the optical drive of your system.
  2. Your TurboTax software starts installing automatically; if not, hold the Windows and R key to open the Run window.
  3. Select browse to open windows explorer and find the CD-drive.
  4. Double-click on the “setup.exe” file and your installation process will start.
  5. After a few minutes, your TurboTax software will be installed in your system.
